Short Statement:

The role of women, the inner life of children, New York City streets, parks, and rivers, interiors and people, and always, the beauty of light and shadow are my predominant subject matter.

I am a painter working in Acrylic, and mixed media (Acrylic and Oil) on canvas and Egg Tempera on panel, and I live and work in Manhattan.

My work consists of representational paintings which have strong narrative, most often with a liminal quality and content which always invites the viewers to become emotionally involved. I want you to be drawn into the narrative of the painting, be intrigued by the liminal aspect and emotionally moved, as you enjoy the beauty of the color, light, form and paint
